| RIAT - ROYAL INTERNATIONAL AIR TATTOO
FAIRFORD 12 - 13 TH JULY 2008 The 2008 RIAT event was in fact a non-event, sabotaged by the British weather. Shows on Saturday and Sunday has to be cancelled due to the water-logged ground. The Friday arrivals day did go ahead in somewhat trying conditions and the Monday departures day was held in better weather. Thanks must be given to the RIAT ground staff who worked so hard to make the Monday possible. On the Friday the Queen attended a special Flypast to celebrate the 90th Anniversary of the Royal Air Force. RIAT 2008 was also the first time the US F-22 Raptor was displayed in Europe.
