05.JULY 2008 The star of this year's show was without doubt the VULCAN, returned to flight after years of restoration. After last years bad weather on the show weekend, resulting in the Sunday event being cancelled, we were hoping for sun in 2008. And yes we did have some sun, but.............. after a fair start in the morning, we had almost completed the static when the heavens opened, the wind gusted to gale force and we were soaked. Our feet were still wet when we got home late in the evening! But we were pleased that after a bad start to the flying display, the sun did put in an appearance. The theme for this year's airshow was the 90th Anniversary of the RAF. Click on photo to see a bigger image. There is a 'Slideshow' button if you wish to use it. |
