| BATTLE OF BRITAIN MEMORIAL FLIGHT
WELCOME DAY IMPERIAL WAR MUSEUM DUXFORD 05.MAY 2007 This was the public launch of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight's 50th anniversary year. The BBMF is the RAF's tribute to the aviators of the Second World War. This event was the first opportunity to see the new colours of the Lancaster PA474 Spitfire P7350 and Spitfire AB910. All the aircraft of the BBMF were on show, including the elusive Chipmunks. The oldest airworthy spitfire flew in formation with an RAF Eurofighter Typhoon. Also we saw The RAF Falcons Parachute Display Team and The Central Band of the Royal Air Force. Click on photo to see a bigger image. There is a 'Slideshow' button if you wish to use it. |
