| WADDINGTON INTERNATIONAL AIRSHOW
01.JULY 2006 This show was particularly significant because it marked the 'End of the Canberra' after 55 years of service with the Royal Air Force. But also in came something new.... the first public appearance of the Sentinel, the RAF's latest surveillance aircraft, entering service at Waddington with No.5 (AC) Squadron. The display also marked the 70th anniversary of the Spitfire and the cutting edge technology of the Typhoon. This show raises significant amounts of money for the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund and the Royal Air Forces Association.
